We know we are not being told about all of the planning applications that are destroying and damaging ancient woodland in the UK.
As you will have seen from my previous two posts, WuT you like to know and WuT you like to see, over the last 10 years we have been very busy fighting for the protection of ancient woodland. The Woods under Threat team needs your help.
At the moment there are eight cases that we really need your help with. Are you able to update us and let us know if any of these cases have been lost or saved in the last few months, do you know anything about these cases that you think might be of help to us? Let us know by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively is there a threat in your area that you think we may not know about, or do you have a threat that you think needs looking into? Let us know by filling in our new form.
Do you know of a wood that has recently been lost to development or saved from development, if so send us an email to email@example.com. Remember to include details about where the wood, is so that we can find it on a map, and what the development is. If you can provide us with a planning application number that’s great.
We will use details that you provide to update our records and continue to fight for and defend the rights of ancient woodland.
We hope that you have found this series of posts interesting and remember if you have a wood in your area that comes under threat then please contact us.
