‘Super Sewer’ threat to City

A new community group has been in touch to ask us to highlight their fight to protect precious green space, one of the few remaining parks in the heart of London. Save Kings Stairs Gardens says: “Thames Water want to take away a lovely park on the banks of the River Thames in London for the construction of the Thames Tideway Tunnel ‘Super Sewer’. We are dedicated to saving this public park. We hope you will join us.” Please check out the plans and the group’s objections for yourself. Information on the proposals can be found on www.saveksg.com. There is already a large petition available with over 3,000 signatures on paper and online: http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-king-stairs-gardens.html)
