Add your voice to change the Climate Bill

There’s a major public meeting happening on 22 April to try to strengthen the Climate Change Bill currently making its way through Parliament.

We’ve been asking, along with 60 other organisations, for an emissions reduction target of at least 80% by 2050 on the face of the Bill. We also want to see aviation and shipping emissions included in the targets.

The Trust also wants to see stronger action on helping habitats and widlife adapt to climate change.

At the event Hilary Benn MP, Peter Ainsworth MP and Steve Webb MP from the three main political parties will all be speaking and you’ll be able to raise questions with them afterwards. This is one of your last chances to make your voice heard to try to change the Climate Bill for the better.

The event is on Tuesday 22nd April, 19:30 – 21:00, at the Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ.
Check out the Facebook event page for details.

If you can’t go (or even if you can) why not email your MP to ask them to make the changes we need to this important legislation.
