The Woodland Trust has announced plans to plant 850 acres of land to create the largest new continuous native woodland in England. This will make a huge difference to people and wildlife. Less than 12 percent of the UK is covered with woodland and only 2.4 percent of that is irreplaceable ancient woodland.
