The BBC’s AutumnWatch and SpringWatch have been hugely popular. Now the team braves the cold and ice to bring you WinterWatch. This season is probably the toughest for wildlife, with freezing temperatures and food shortages making survival a constant struggle.
Among their other stories, the team will look at winter in our woods. To compliment this they have published a blog from the Woodland Trust about special winter ecology. Click here to read this and other BBC WinterWatch blogs. To keep up to date with what you might see each month on your adventures in the outdoors, follow our Woodland Highlights blogs.
Thanks BBC, another nature triumph.
